David J. Eicher is an American editor, writer, and popularizer of astronomy and space. He has been editor-in-chief of Astronomy magazine since 2002. He is author, coauthor, or editor of more than 20 books on science and American history and has appeared on CNN, NPR, Fox News and other media outlets to promote astronomy. He’s also an accomplished rock and blues drummer with The Astro Blues Band.

David joins us by phone to discuss his passion for astronomy, his latest book Mission Moon 3D written with Queen guitarist & astrophysicist Brian May, plus the 50th Anniversary Apollo 11 commemoration issue of Astronomy magazine.
